Hoboken Memorial Day Kicks Off Wednesday Night; Buses Will Be Diverted
NJ Transit buses in Hoboken will use Hudson and Bloomfield streets from around 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. because of the Memorial Parade.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken's Memorial Day Parade has been scheduled for Wednesday (May 25) starting at 6:30 p.m. The parade honors those in war who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
NJ Transit buses in Hoboken will use Hudson and Bloomfield streets from around 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. because of the parade (see more traffic details below).
The marchers will start at City Hall, 94 Washington St., and travel north up Washington Street to the Elks Lodge viewing stand at 10th Street. They will assemble starting at 6 p.m.

The 122nd Annual Memorial Day Parade returns following a two-year hiatus during the pandemic, although an informal march was held last year. The event is hosted by American Legion Post 107 and the city of Hoboken.

Washington Street will be closed between Observer Highway and 11th Street from approximately 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
NJ Transit buses will be diverted to Hudson Street and Bloomfield Street during that time. Hop riders can expect delays and busses to be re-routed during that time.
Drivers should expect traffic delays in the area during the parade.
