Hoboken Museum To Hold 'Victorian Romp' Fundraiser Gala

For its 30th anniversary, the Hoboken Historical Museum is planning to reach deep into its archive for "early Hoboken style" decorations.

In commemoration of its 30th anniversary, the Hoboken Historical Museum is planning to reach deep into its collections archive to decorate the Hoboken Elks Lodge in “early Hoboken style” for their annual spring fundraising gala on Saturday, May 14.

According to a news release, the “Victorian romp” will include a buffet dinner from AD Catering, an open bar with “spiked punch,” dancing and a live auction featuring

  • A summer pass to the Shipyard pool
  • A year of indoor parking
  • An evening of whiskey-tasting for a party of 10

According to a news release, a portion of the proceeds will help support the museum’s collections campaign, with the goal of securing more space in order to accommodate the growing archives and make them more accessible as a research center.

Tickets are $150, and are available online at www.hobokenmuseum.org.
