Albert Bozulic, who is in the management & information systems (IT) field, took advantage of stay-at-home orders in the US during the recent coronavirus pandemic to release a new book addressing what he calls a crisis in leadership. The book, titled Strategic Leadership: Security, Productivity, Integrity, was independently published thanks to the power of cloud technology.
“This current global crisis will breed a new generation of world leaders and I have developed a straightforward & common-sense leadership strategy with my new book,” the author says. “It is based on my 3 core leadership values of security, productivity, and integrity.”

Albert, who was born in 1981 in Hoboken, New Jersey to a first generation Croatian
American family, has seen his share of crises... and weaves lessons learned from these in this book...which has been released this June in over 10 countries via Amazon in both paperback and eBook format. It was written while the author was living & working in Austin, Texas.. in the IT sector.. where he was deemed one of many "essential" IT professionals helping to secure the IT infrastructure for a major supermarket chain.
“Having had grandparents that told us stories of survival from two world wars in Europe, but also having seen crises firsthand in the US over the last three decades.. natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy in the New Jersey area, stock market crashes such as in 1987 and 2008, terrorist incidents, cyber attacks, recessions and health epidemics... I am no stranger to a crisis,” he points out. “The difference now is the current one is completely global in nature and has tested leadership on a global scale.”
The new book is a leadership journey and roadmap as well as a strategic plan for leading large and small organizations in both the public & private sector. Some concepts the author writes about are securing & stabilizing critical infrastructure, adopting a productive team culture using the 80/20 Pareto Concept, and creating an organizational culture of integrity through due diligence and system reliability.
It also weaves in methodologies from the world of project management, and includes many of the author's favorite leadership & strategy quotes from thought leaders throughout history.
“While an overall strategy is vital, it also must be broken down into manageable tasks that can be executed effectively,” Albert says. “Strategy alone has no value without effective execution. Those that come out of this successfully will be the ones who are adaptable to change, are agile, and understand risk reduction & control."
The author, who earned his B.A. in 2003 from Drew University in the NJ area and then spent many years in large enterprise companies as well as in federal uniform during two tours of duty in the national security sector, concludes with several predictions for how the world will look over the next century & beyond.
“As a child of the Cold War of the 1980s, and an adult during the war on terrorism afterwards which I also took part in, one of the next trends I see emerging is what I call the health security state,” the author concludes. “Health as Security(HaaS) will permeate every facet of the public & private sector. The other major emergence will be a redefining of what is essential & critical infrastructure.. and hence a strong demand for the basics.. essential food, security, housing, and reliable IT networks to be able to work from home and communicate. As a new generation of leaders we will be faced with the challenge of securing this critical infrastructure, making it productive, and also ensuring reliability & stability of the system. It is a new morning in both America and the world going forward.”
