Hoboken, Newport, 33rd Street PATH Stops Closed Part Of Weekend
Service from New Jersey to all stops on the 33rd Street in New York is also suspended this weekend. The WTC line will run instead.

HOBOKEN — It isn't easy in a walking town when public transportation shuts down — unless you own three cars, like 300 people in Hoboken do.
Yet, here we are.
Just like last weekend, the Port Authority has some PATH station closures in Hoboken, Jersey City, and Manhattan to announce.

For the coming weekend, the Hoboken PATH station and Newport station in Jersey City will be closed all of Saturday and some of Sunday morning. More specifically, they'll close from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 7:59 a.m. Sunday. So if you go out in New York on Friday night, don't stumble toward the PATH and expect it to bring you into the loving arms of the Garden State.
In fact, some of the stations in New York will be closed too. Christopher Street, Ninth Street, 14th Street, 23rd Street, and 33rd Street stations will close from 12:01 a.m. Jan. 25 to 5 a.m. Jan. 27; in other words, all weekend.

However, if you want to take a train to New York City, you can take the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail from Hoboken or Newport to Exchange Place, walk a block to the Exchange Place PATH, and head to the World Trade Center. The PA will cross-honor HBLR tickets (see below). The World Trade Center station will be open all weekend, with the line running to Newark.
The Port Authority says:
For service to closed Manhattan stations
Take PATH to WTC Station. PATH will provide a free, 2-Trip MetroCard for transfer to NYC Subway connections at World Trade Center Station ONLY. This MetroCard is valid ONLY until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27.
For service to closed New Jersey stations
NJ Transit will cross honor PATH riders on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail between Hoboken, Newport and Exchange Place. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will cross honor around-the-clock until 7:59 am, Sunday, Jan. 26.
Hoboken and Newport stations reopen at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26 with direct service between Hoboken and WTC stations.
