Hoboken Parents Find New Places For Kids To Sled In The Snow

After three significant snowfalls and nearly a year of pandemic sheltering, parents are getting creative.

HOBOKEN, NJ — With three days of significant snow accumulations so far this winter in Hoboken, plus kids cooped up amid the pandemic, parents in Hoboken have been looking for outdoor fun.

They've found it by building their own small sledding hills at local parks, from Columbus Park to Elysian Park. And a Super Bowl Sunday snowfall of 5 inches in Hudson County provided perfect conditions for snowball rolling and fort building.

This past weekend, parents made use of the large slope that hosts the giant slide on 15th Street near the Weehawken border for sledding (see above photo).
