Hoboken Police Arrest Homeless Resident for Package Theft

Man allegedly caught on video over two years ago.

Hoboken police arrested a 31-year-old homeless man on Thursday for allegedly stealing packages from the lobby area of a River Street apartment building over two years ago.

According to police, surveillance video captured the homeless man – whom they identified as a resident of the Hoboken Shelter – stealing packages on Jan. 3, 2013.

After gathering evidence through “advanced investigative techniques,” Hoboken police were able to link the crimes to the homeless resident.

Police charged the man with burglary, theft, possession of a CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
