Hoboken Police Catch 'Potentially Dangerous' Man After Chase: Cops
The Hoboken saw a man who was wanted in Jersey City for aggravated assault and robbery, and arrested him after a chase, they said.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken police announced the arrest Friday of a man who was wanted for aggravated assault, robbery, and other charges, they said.
After a foot chase on Tuesday, police captured Lenny Bolger, 30, of Union City, who was wanted in Jersey City, they said.
The police said that on Tuesday, March 12, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Police Officer Rose Kanan observed Bolger on the 300 block of Jackson Street and knew him to have multiple warrants from Jersey City, police said.

Officers Daniel Grossi, Daniel Barron, Mark Mooreman, and Jennifer Lee arrived on the scene. The officers approached Bolger, who initially gave them a false identity, police said.
When he realized they recognized him, he fled on foot, police said.

"After a short pursuit, during which Bolger attempted to injure officers by swinging a gate toward them, Bolger was apprehended in a parking lot on the 200 block of Harrison Street," police said.
Sgt. Dennis Figueroa, and Police Officers Ramon Estrella, Ramon Calderon, Paul Quinn, and Shelby Seickendick were also on the scene to assist. No injuries were reported.
Bolger was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and hindering by giving false information, police said.
It was confirmed that he also had multiple warrants from Jersey City for robbery, aggravated assault, and making terroristic threats, police said.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
“Once realizing they had a potentially dangerous individual in their midst, the officers responded quickly, and without hesitation chased a suspected criminal with a successful outcome,” said Police Chief Steven Aguiar. “Each and every one of the officers involved should be proud of themselves for their bravery and professionalism during this tense situation.”
