Hoboken Police And SWAT Rescue Child, Charge Man In Incident
Sources said a 5-year-old child was rescued and a 41-year-old man was charged after an incident near Eighth and Garden streets.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken police Tweeted Friday afternoon that residents should avoid a two-square-block area in the center of the mile-square city, and a local news site said there was a "possible hostage situation" occurring. Followup reports said a child was rescued.
The area, at Eighth Street and Garden Street, is a normally quiet residential block.

A resident Tweeted that he saw a Hudson County SWAT vehicle on the scene.
