Hoboken Police Department Swears In 6 Officers: See Who
The six new officers bring Hoboken's Police Department to 147 members.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken swore six new police officers into the Police Department during a ceremony at City Hall on June 17.
They are: Jose M. Silverio Jr., George L. Martinez Jr., Nicholas M. Rodriguez, Jarred A. Rosso, Tre N. Smith, and Autumn Thorpe.
The new officers bring Hoboken’s Police Department to 147 members.

“Taking this oath reflects integrity, empathy, and a willingness to step forward, when many others would not,” said Mayor Emily Jabbour. “On behalf of the City of Hoboken, I congratulate these six officers, thank them for their promise to protect our community, and extend my gratitude to their families, for their support, encouragement, and own sacrifices."
“We are proud to welcome these officers to the Hoboken Police Department and look forward to supporting them throughout their careers and watching them thrive as they serve our city,” said Public Safety Director Ken Ferrante. “I appreciate their commitment in coming to the Hoboken PD, to serve and protect our residents and visitors.”

“When taking an oath to become a Hoboken police officer, it is more than a ceremony; it is a commitment to the community, and to the values of the department,” said Chief Steven Aguiar. “I wish each one of them success as they begin this exciting chapter and remind them all to wear the badge with pride and respect.”
The newest recruits graduated from the Hudson County Police Academy this month and will begin field training immediately.
