Report Of Shot Fired In Hoboken Draws Police Response On Friday

Police in Hoboken said they're investigating a call about a shot fired Friday morning.

HOBOKEN, NJ —Police headed to the west side of Hoboken on Friday morning to investigate a report of a shot fired, they said.

Police posted on social media at 11:15 a.m. that they were on the scene after getting a call about a single shot fired near 500 Marshall Drive.

"So far, this report is unconfirmed. There have been no injuries reported, or casings found," police said.

The call came in at around 10:30 a.m., said a city spokesperson.

They are asking anyone with information to call 201-420-2100.

There have been several shootings in the last five years in the area between Third and Sixth streets on the west side of town, including the fatal shooting of Christopher Garcia in 2022 and the killing of Damon Murray in 2024.
