Hoboken Police Say Jersey City Man Threatened To Kill Officers
The man was charged with 7 counts of terroristic threats after having two police interactions in the wee hours of Tuesday in Hoboken.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The Hoboken police say that after a Jersey City man had two run-ins with them between 3 and 4 a.m., he began making threats to kill officers.
Police said that Steven Youmans, 37, was arrested on Tuesday at approximately 4 a.m. and charged with robbery, seven counts of terroristic threats (threat to kill), aggravated assault, and resisting arrest.
Police said that officers arrived at CVS around 3:20 a.m. after being told that Youmans was being disorderly in CVS. "When units arrived, Mr. Youmans was stopped in the area," police said. "No complaints resulted from the CVS dispute. He was then sent on his way."

But around 3:50 a.m., Sgt. Donald Rosso saw Youmans at Fourth and Hudson streets, approximately two blocks from the police station, police say. Rosso saw him opening packages that he hadn't had before.
Rosso tried to arrest him, but "was punched and choked. Additional units arrived and were able to control and arrest Mr. Youmans," police said.

Police said that during the arrest and transportation to police headquarters, Youmans tried to kick out the police car's windows and threatened to kill "multiple" officers.
The packages were stolen from the 300 block of Hudson Street, police said.
Rosso was assessed by the ambulance squad for knee pain and refused further medical attention.
Youmans’ charges were placed on a warrant and he was to be taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.
