HOBOKEN, NJ — The uptown location of a popular Cuban restaurant in Hoboken will close.

"La Isla Uptown’s journey ends April 9th. Join us before then to share what we’ve always loved at La Isla Uptown — great food, fun times and wonderful people," said the restaurant's owners on social media on Wednesday, of the eatery's 12th Street location.

But the original location near City Hall, which has been featured on "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" for its stuffed French toast recipe, will stay open.

"The decision was primarily quality-of-life concerns and the chance to step out on a high note," said the owners in a letter about the uptown location.

One commenter wrote, "We had many brunches with family, happy hours with friends, and dinner dates here during our time in Hoboken. The food, drinks, and beer selection are unmatched! Thank you!"
