Hoboken's NYE 2011 Party Guide
With so many bars and clubs in Hoboken, the choices can be daunting – here are our picks for ringing in 2012 in style.
2012 is quickly approaching, and while you might have your resolutions (and brand new gym membership) in hand, do you have your New Year’s Eve planned out? If you’re still scrambling to lock down your evening, or are a little too overwhelmed with choices, here’s our picks, at every price point:
200 Lounge
For $95, take advantage of the open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with a champagne toast at midnight and a live broadcast of the Times Square ball drop. Tables are $1,000 with a six person minimum. For general admission tickets, purchase here. For VIP tickets, call (201) 888-1799.

Carpe Diem
A great option if you don’t want to empty your wallet – a buffet and open bar from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. with a champagne toast at midnight, all for $65. DJ Dex will be spinning. Call the bar at (201) 792-0050 for tickets.

The Clinton Social
For a $30 cover, the party starts at 10 p.m. with tunes by DJ Tico, appetizers, giveaways and a champagne toast at midnight. For more info, call (201) 239-0063.
Madison Bar and Grill
Tickets are $99, and include an open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., as well as passed hors d’oeuvres, a light breakfast buffet after midnight and party favors. For tickets, call (201) 386-0300.
Maxwells
Our favorite music venue has a fun night planned with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and the comedy stylings of Kurt Braunohler. The show starts at 10 p.m., and tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door (purchase tickets here). The front bar is open to the public with no cover, and normal drink prices.
Pilsener Haus Biergarten
Doors open at 8 p.m. at the biergarten, and $100 tickets include an open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. featuring their huge selection of craft beers, as well as weisswurst, bratwurst, kielbasa and soft pretzels. There will be a DJ at the bar all night long, and a midnight toast of champagne (or beer!) And to boot, after midnight, Chef Thomas Ferlesch will serve a kettle of Hungarian beef goulash to help ward off that hangover. For tickets, call (201) 683-5465.
The Village Pourhouse
Open bar from 8 p.m. to midnight with a champagne toast, party favors, a 2 a.m. breakfast buffet and a DJ spinning tunes all night. $95 gets you general admission, while $135 gets you reserved seating in the Redlight Room or main bar and appetizer platters ($150 gets you the same deal, but an even swankier space in the Skybox or Dugout). W Hoboken: The Chandelier Room
A New Year’s Eve masquerade ball! For $125, general admission tickets will get you a Belvedere vodka open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Table reservations are $175 per person (six person minimum), and includes a magnum of Belvedere and a magnum of Moet champagne – and you still get to enjoy the open bar. W Hoboken: The Great Room
For $150, DJ Raphael Valentino will get the party going from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., while guests enjoy an open bar and extensive dinner menu featuring Tuscan tapas (like Salumi Misti with homemade giardinera and parmesan, and Ricotta di Buffalo, truffle honey on grilled bread) and pasta (like rigatoni with San Marzano sauce, basil and parmesan, and penne with wild mushrooms and parmesan cream sauce). West Five Supper Club
For $125, West Five is offering an open bar from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., with a champagne toast, balloon drop at midnight and party favors. There’s also a two-hour buffet 8-10 p.m. with plates like short rib sliders and veal and ricotta meatballs. For tickets, call (201) 792-2244.
Whiskey Bar
The rock ‘n roll joint will have a no frills buffet and cash bar for a $35 cover, and a VIP ticket for $75 that includes a buffet and top-shelf open bar. Tickets are available at the bar.
