Hoboken Shelter Will Remain Open To Combat Cold: Officials
Officials: The Hoboken Homeless Shelter will stay open throughout the night on Jan. 30 to help safeguard residents from the freezing cold.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Homeless Shelter plans to stay open throughout the night to help safeguard local residents from the freezing cold, city officials announced Wednesday.
On Jan. 30, Hoboken officials tweeted news about the shelter’s offer to remain open:
“Due to frigid temperatures tonight, the Hoboken Homeless Shelter will remain open throughout the evening and through the overnight to accommodate anyone in need of shelter. Thank you to the @hobokenshelter for always serving our community's needs.”
According to the shelter’s website, it provides overnight shelter for up to 50 men and women nightly. In addition, it serves up to 530 meals daily, including a hot dinner at 7:15 p.m. for the city’s “street-dwelling homeless, shelter guests and working poor.”

All of the shelter’s guests have access to clothes and daily showers, and receive the following case management services: Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Budget Management, Medication Education, Vocational Support, Housing Assistance.
