Hoboken's Washington Street Starbucks To Finish Renovations In Time For Pumpkin Spice

After two other Starbucks in Hoboken were renovated, the Washington Street location is changing as well. Find out the opening date.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Starbucks at 314 Washington St. in Hoboken has been closed for renovations for more than a month, and appears to be almost ready to reopen, with new hours posted outside the location this week (see photo below).

While the company did not respond to multiple inquires about when it will reopen, a business listing originally said it would open again on Thursday, Aug. 24, then changed the date to the day after Labor Day, putting it at Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Earlier this year, the uptown Shipyard location closed for more than a month, then reopened with less indoor seating (but some seating nonetheless).

And the location at 51 Newark St., near the train station, had most of its indoor tables and chairs removed in a renovation long before that.

The Starbucks at 314 Washington St. has posted a sign saying it will be open from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily:

Earlier this year, Panera Bread, on the same block, removed its indoor seating, saying there were too many fights and hypodermic needles in the bathroom.

In March, Panera manager Patryk Szukalski said the change was part of a "new reality" in urban restaurants, particularly with the rise of grab-and-go service. READ MORE: New Plan For Panera?
