Hoboken Student Wins Contest For Her 'Ridiculous Invention'
Read about Gianessa Serpa's tongue-in-cheek brainchild, "The Instasmile."

A student at Salvatore R. Calabro School in Hoboken was one of ten national winners for Scholastic’s “Ridiculous Invention” contest.
Gianessa Serpa’s invention – the “Instasmile” – uses clear, plastic strips that fit around the user’s ears like a pair of glasses, which “holds a smile” on their face.
“So even if you’re feeling down, Instasmile will help you smile… Then people will stop asking you so many questions,” Serpa stated.
