Hoboken Students Qualify For National Junior Honor Society

HOBOKEN, NJ — The HoLa Hoboken Dual Language Charter School National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) recently announced that 16 HoLa 7th graders and two HoLa 8th graders were accepted into the group based on their 6th grade academic performance.

According to a school news release, nomination for membership in the NJHS is predicated upon students maintaining a 90% or above average in all classes by the end of the 6th grade.

Qualifying students included: Sophia Barere, Lucy Baron, Sophia Boyajian, Holland Drew, Hanna Elsayed, Leah Garcia, Lucas Hjertberg, Charlotte Kielman-Macris, Aiden Macdonnell, Isabelle Mietus, Isabella Oland, Yasmine Petrocelli, Sayuri Pfieffer, Ariel Prevor, Miranda Saynuk, Samuel Schor, Noah Strandberg, and Mayra Tuncel.

An induction ceremony for the new members took place on the evening of Nov. 15.
