Hoboken Students Sing For Peace At United Nations HQ

Students at the Mustard Seed School in Hoboken used the arts to promote love, peace and education.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Students at the Mustard Seed School in Hoboken got a chance to sing at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York City on Sunday, using the arts to advance the cause of peace.

According to a social media post from the school, a group of students sang at the UN’s “True Love and Peace in Radiance with the World” event. The celebration promoted “love, peace and education through the arts.”

During the event, the students “had a great time” and got an unofficial tour from a kind security guard.

“This is a cause that is very near and dear to us,” school administrators wrote. “We want our students to be peacemakers. And the arts infuse our curriculum.”
