Hoboken Teacher, Former Nanny, Earns National Award
A Hoboken teacher who formerly worked as a nanny received the "Teacher of the Year award" at Kiddie Academy's annual conference.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Hoboken teacher who worked as a nanny recently received the “Teacher of the Year award” at Kiddie Academy’s annual conference in San Antonio, Texas.
According to a news release, Elizabeth Hopkins, a teacher at the Kiddie Academy of Hoboken, rose to the top of this year’s awards among hundreds of franchisees and 160 Academies nationwide that were considered for the program.
Winners were honored for their “extensive contributions to the Kiddie Academy system by way of mentoring, leading and championing the brand’s key growth initiatives.”

According to the academy:
“Elizabeth is the Lead Toddler Teacher at Kiddie Academy of Hoboken. Prior to Kiddie Academy, she attended Westfield State University in Massachusetts and received a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Communication and Women Studies. While attending to her studies, Elizabeth had an opportunity to attend as a nanny for children ages 2 months to 2 years old. This is truly what inspired her to follow her passions in working with young children.”
