Train Station Floods In Hoboken, Causing Delays (PHOTOS)
With flooding at the Hoboken Train Terminal, NJ Transit announced 30-minute transit delays and posted photos of the area.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Areas inside and outside the Hoboken train station flooded Friday morning, causing delays of up to 30 minutes for NJ Transit rail lines both into and out of the station, NJ Transit announced. However, the station was still open.

The Port Authority, a separate agency from NJ Transit, noted that the underground PATH trains are running on or close to schedule. "Please know that our Hoboken station is currently operational and accessible. We hope this helps," they said.

As forecasters had predicted Tuesday, the flooding occurred near high tide Friday morning. The National Weather Service updated their flood watch to a warning on Friday, until 11 a.m. READ MORE: Flood Watch Issued For Hoboken Friday

"NJ TRANSIT train service in and out Hoboken Terminal is subject to up to 30-minute delays due to high water conditions," NJ Transit posted on Friday after 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, freezing temperatures and high winds remain a concern for later on Friday.
'Low Around 10'
The NWS said in a special weather statement for North Jersey, "A strong Arctic cold front is expected to move through the region from around Noon to 1 PM EST. The front will be accompanied with briefly heavy showers, possibly with lightning, and strong gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph. Southerly winds will shift to the west and Arctic cold will begin to move into the region, with westerly winds 20 to 30 mph and gusting 40 to 45 mph."
The NWS predicts, for Friday night, "Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 10. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph."
A wind advisory is in effect until 10 p.m.
