Hoboken Woman Charged For Alleged Car Vandalism In Public Housing
Lizaida Camis, 57, was charged after people said their tires were flat and cars were scratched at the Hoboken Authority projects.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Lizaida Camis, 57, was arrested by Hoboken police on Friday and charged with nine counts in connection with cars and a door that were allegedly vandalized in the Hoboken Housing Authority projects.
A woman with the same name was indicted two years ago in connection with a Hoboken voter fraud investigation, for which council candidate Frank Raia was sentenced to prison. The woman pleaded guilty.
The U.S. Attorney's Office declined on Tuesday to comment on the latest news.

Hoboken police said that on Friday, officers Jonathan Lyons and Frank Francolino responded to the area of Third and Harrison streets because a driver found scratch marks all over her car, as well as two front tires.
Less than an hour later, the officers were dispatched a second time to the same location for the same type of report, but from a different woman, police said. In this case, the female victim had scratches around her vehicle and one flat tire.

Police say that then, three more victims approached the officers to report their vehicles were also vandalized. A sixth victim approached the officers and reported her ground floor apartment door was also vandalized.
Officers were then directed by a Hoboken Housing Authority employee to a second parking lot in the area of 300 Marshall Drive. Officers discovered three more vehicles vandalized, they said.
Sgt. David Olivera arrived on scene and assisted with the investigation.
According to the police, through their investigation, they identified Lizaida Camis as a suspect.
Camis was located and arrested at 10:58 a.m. She was charged with nine counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Camis' charges went on a summons and she was released with a court date.
