Advisories For Ed Sheeran Concert At MetLife, And How Prices Compare With Taylor Swift

The Ed Sheeran concerts are still on for this weekend, MetLife says. And they don't seem as worried about tailgaters this time.

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — "A club isn't the best place to find a lover / So the bar is where I go," crooned Ed Sheeran in his 2017 hit song "Shape of You." If you can get past the fact that those are pretty much the same thing, you may want to go see the ginger-haired troubadour at MetLife stadium this Saturday and Sunday.

Unlike with the recent Taylor Swift concert at the stadium — whose tickets on StubHub were selling for $1,200 or more — you can nab some for Sheeran at $75 a pop. So why not go see the British bloke?

For those who don't want to drive this weekend, NJ Transit has released information on heading to see Ed.

Also, MetLife stadium announced Thursday night that the shows are still on, after a week of concerning air quality in the area. They said traffic may increase around the stadium and issued for getting to the show, security guidelines, and more.

Parking at MetLife stadium is normally $40 a car. So the train, at less than $10 round trip from Hoboken, may be a better option.

NJ Transit said in a release last month, "Fans attending the upcoming Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran concerts at MetLife Stadium in May and June are encouraged to purchase their round trip tickets in advance through NJ TRANSIT's mobile app. Customers can take any NJ TRANSIT train that stops at Secaucus, including from Penn Station New York, then transfer to the BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line."

"Customers traveling to MetLife Stadium should purchase their round trip tickets from their originating station to Meadowlands Station to avoid delays boarding trains. Tickets purchased on the train will include a $5 surcharge."

American Dream Sweepstakes

Also, you can head to the American Dream Mall and then take a pedestrian bridge over the highway to get to Ed.

American Dream itself is running a sweepstakes to win tickets to Ed. It's the "Tour Next Door!" they noted.

Find out more about the sweepstakes here. Buses run from Hoboken and New York City straight to the mall.
