Hudson County Animal Shelter Offers Free Adoptions For June, 2016: Liberty Humane Society

Hudson County, NJ – If you’re looking for a new pet in Hudson County, the Liberty Humane Society in Jersey City has an offer for you… free adoptions during June.

The nonprofit animal shelter – which services Jersey City and Hoboken – will host a free adoption fee promotion until June 30, 2016.

According to a news release, adoption fees will be waived for cats four months and older and for dogs over 40 pounds.

All animals adopted from Liberty Humane Society are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before they are adopted out, LHS staff stated.

Adoption fees at Liberty Humane Society normally range from $120 (for adult cats) to $225 (for adult dogs), which helps the shelter to provide shelter, food, medical care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, enrichment and behavioral rehabilitation for those adoptable animals who may need it.

Adopters are invited back to the Jersey City facility on Wednesdays for “Public Low-Cost Pet Wellness Clinics” to keep up with vaccinations, heartworm medications and other primary veterinary care, shelter staff added.
