DPW Worker Fatally Struck By 16-Year-Old Driver In Hudson County: Prosecutor
A public works employee on the job in Hudson County died of injuries sustained after being hit by a car driven by a 16-year-old.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A public works employee in Hudson County died on Monday evening hours after being struck by a car driven by a 16-year-old, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
Fortunato Rojas-Solis, 73, of Union City, was working at 7:36 a.m. for the town's Public Works Department when he was struck by a Dodge Durango near Palisade Avenue and 36th Street, prosecutors said.
Rojas-Solis succumbed to his injuries at 5:15 p.m. Monday at Jersey City Medical Center, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors did not release more information about the driver.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Union City Police Department are investigating, prosecutors said.
