In the race to clinch the party nominations, here are unofficial results so far:
Craig Guy (D): 28,499
Eleana Little (D): 8,052
The Guy campaign declared victory shortly after 10 p.m. He will go on to run in the general election in November.
Guy thanked his opponent for the Democratic nomination, Eleanna Little, and said he looks forward to working with her.
"Craig Guy has won the Democratic nomination for Hudson County Executive, posting a dominant victory with greater than 75 percent of the vote according to preliminary results," said a press release. "The longtime Chief of Staff to County Executive Tom DeGise, Guy will go on to the General Election in November as the overwhelming favorite to be sworn in to the office in January."
Guy said, “I’m so grateful to the people of Hudson County for delivering this resounding victory. I
would like to thank my family and friends for their support throughout this journey, to my wonderful campaign team led by my campaign manager Julietta Vogt, to each of Hudson County’s 12 mayors and all of the elected officials and labor leaders who endorsed us and to everyone who cast their vote in this historic election. I also thank my opponent Eleanna Little for running a spirited campaign, and I look forward to working with her to find new solutions to the challenges facing our communities. Hudson County is united and strong and we will now move forward together to continue delivering the progress that our residents deserve.”
The Guy campaign said that nearly 45,000 total ballots cast in Hudson County.
Hudson County Commissioner (Representing Hoboken, Jersey City):

Tuesday night, the race seemed closer than expected — but mail-in ballots from Tuesday have yet to be counted.
