Hudson County Man Charged With 'Facilitating' Child Abuse Materials
More than 1,000 files of abusive material were seized from Joseph Suarez's West New York home, the Hudson County Prosecutor's office said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A West New York man accused of sharing child sex abuse material online now faces criminal charges after investigators found more than 1,000 such files in his home, prosecutors announced Thursday.
Joseph Suarez, 31, was charged Wednesday with child endangerment and facilitating child sex abuse material, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's office.
The charges against Suarez involve a 13-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl, said prosecutors.

Investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Suarez after they discovered, on Jan. 10, the West New York man had been sharing abusive content on the social media platform Discord, the office said.
Suarez was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.

The state has filed a detention motion and additional charges may follow as the case is still under investigation, the Prosecutor's office said.
