Hudson County Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Minor Under 14: Prosecutors

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 20-year-old Hudson County man stands accused of sexually assaulting a girl when she was between the ages of 12 and 14, prosecutors say.
Noe Ventura-Amaya was arrested Tuesday in his West New York home on multiple charges linked to accusations of abuse in 2021 and 2022, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s office.
Ventura-Amaya and the victim knew each other, prosecutors said.

The West New York man now faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact, sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, aggravated assault, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Ventura-Amaya taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance, police said.

The state has filed a detention motion, tentatively scheduled to be heard this Monday, Feb. 6.

County Prosecutor Esther Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
