Hudson County Woman Caught Discarding Suspected Cocaine Down Drain: Prosecutors
Two Hudson County residents were arrested on cocaine and fentanyl charges as part of a narcotics investigation, prosecutors said.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After a month-long investigation, Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force arrested two people in Union City on charges related to cocaine and fentanyl distribution, they said.
Prosecutors said that investigators went to the 25th Street home of Angela Santana, 35, early on Tuesday to execute a search warrant.
They said that Santana was found discarding suspected cocaine down a bathtub drain.

Investigators seized over 25 grams of cocaine, over a dozen fentanyl pills, and drug paraphernalia, they said.
Santana was charged with possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine) within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to distribute, hindering apprehension, and Tampering with physical evidence.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that Santana was arrested at her residence and released pending her first court appearance, which is tentatively scheduled for April 25.
On Thursday, prosecutors announced that they had arrested a second person in connection with the investigation.
They said Juan De Los Santos, 33, of Union City was arrested Wednesday. He was charged with possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute (fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to distribute, and possession with the intent to distribute (cocaine) within 500 feet of public property.
He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and taken to the Hudson County Correction Facility pending his first court appearance.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force with the investigation and arrest.
