The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office says they've charged a Jersey City police officer with hindering after a suspect stayed at her home.

"During the course of the investigation, it was determined the individual – who was wanted on charges that include attempted murder and various weapons offenses – was arrested at Rivera’s residence," prosecutors said.

They said that since Rivera is employed by the Jersey City Police Department, she "was aware of the arrest warrant that was issued for the individual she allowed to stay at her residence."
