Jersey City Scores Whole Foods, Hoboken Gets Trader Joe's
Two new locations for the popular supermarket chains are coming to Hudson County.

Jersey City, NJ – Whole Foods is coming to Jersey City.
On Wednesday, the supermarket chain announced plans to bring a new store to Jersey City near the Grove Street PATH station in 2020.
The new, 45,000 square foot store will be the first in Hudson County, NJ.com stated.

Word of Jersey City’s Whole Foods coup comes on the heels of news that its neighbor city, Hoboken, recently gave zoning approval to a long-rumored Trader Joe’s store.

The combination of the Hudson County waterfront cities’ grocery store announcements prompted HMag to weigh in about the new locations with the following tagline: “Mutually Assured Gentrification.”
