LGBT North Jersey Pride Festival 2016 Will Celebrate Diversity, Equality

Get ready to show your LGBT pride, North Jersey.
LBGT advocates and North Jersey community members will meet for the 2016 North Jersey Pride Festival on Sunday, June 12.
The free “family-friendly event” – which “celebrates diversity and promotes equality” - is slated to take place from noon to 6 p.m. at the Memorial Park Amphitheater, 123 Dunnell Road in Maplewood.

Featured activities will include “kid-proof” entertainment, local artisan displays, a “five-star food court” and booths staffed by local LGBTQ and ally nonprofits.
Attendance at the festival has increased by 400 percent since the inaugural event, according to organizers.
