Lincoln Tunnel Crash Delays Buses; Traffic Stretches Into Hoboken
An accident at the Lincoln Tunnel caused lingering delays on Tuesday for NJ Transit and DeCamp bus riders, officials reported.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A crash at the Lincoln Tunnel wreaked havoc for commuters passing between New Jersey and New York on Tuesday morning. The accident caused lingering delays for NJ Transit and DeCamp bus riders, officials reported.
According to alerts from the Port Authority of NY/NJ, an accident at the tunnel caused delays up to 30 minutes during the morning rush hours. The crash clogged bus service at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City, and affected riders headed in both directions.
“Expect delays on all routes due to an accident in the Lincoln Tunnel,” DeCamp Bus warned riders around 8 a.m.

Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla said that Tuesday morning's delays show that there's a larger problem afoot.
"That an accident in one tunnel can so easily wreak havoc on a morning commute clearly illustrates that we are facing a regional transportation crisis that must be addressed by State and local government," Bhalla tweeted. "We need support from @GovMurphy and @NJGov to solve this problem together."
Around 9:30 a.m., NJ Transit reported that bus service traveling to the Port Authority Bus Terminal was still seeing delays up to 45 minutes. Service traveling from the terminal was only seeing 15-minute delays due to “heavy traffic volume and earlier police activity in the south tube” of the tunnel.

This is wrong, just sat on the Hoboken bridge for 40 min and was told to get off because the tunnel was shut down. Traffic is backed up to 10th street in Hoboken...that’s not a 30 min delay

I had to get off the bus in Union City. Police advising bus drivers to let passengers off the buses. It’s not moving an inch.
