For Love Of 'Za: Pizza Guru To Speak At Hoboken Library

Do what you love and the money will follow.

For Scott Wiener, this maxim proved to be a call to arms. The professional pizza enthusiast – who will visit the Hoboken Library on Thursday, Aug. 20 – first noticed the existence of cultural and regional pizza differences in college.

After working his way through a number of jobs – including as an events coordinator for the City of Hoboken – Wiener decided to turn his love for pizza into a career.

An idea to facilitate “pizza day trips” for his friends soon blossomed into his own business, Scott’s Pizza Tours, which has now given 2,200 tours to more than 34,000 guests.

Wiener, who also writes for Pizza Today Magazine, PMQ’s Pizza Magazine and PizzaMarketplace.com, has been featured on the CBS Sunday Morning, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, Food Network, Discovery Channel, Wall Street Journal and New York Magazine.

The pizza guru will appear at the Hoboken Public Library on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m.
