Man Allegedly Killed By Speeding Truck In Reverse In North Bergen
Police and family said a man was killed in by truck moving in reverse.

A speeding truck moving in reverse killed a 31-year-old man in a New Jersey industrial accident on Saturday, according to family members and police.
Angelo Maietta of Bayonne was killed at 10:23 a.m. Saturday in the accident at Lincoln Recycling at 4711 Dell Ave. in North Bergen, police said.
Rafel Maietta told News12 he had jumped back into his truck while his younger brother remained outside to close the doors on the back. Then a payloader, which was speeding in reverse, struck Angelo and his vehicle.

“My heart dropped because I knew my brother was behind the truck,” Maietta told News12. "He took his last breath and died right there."
The incident is under investigation by the North Bergen Police Department with support provided by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

OSHA was notified and responded to the scene and they will be conducting an independent investigation of the incident, police said.
