Man Charged With Criminal Sexual Contact After Incidents On Hoboken Streets

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Hoboken man was charged with criminal sexual contact after police received reports of a man "inappropriately touching females" a week ago Wednesday, police said.

Police said that on Feb 8, between 8 and 9 a.m., they responded to the area of Second and Washington streets due to reports of a man touching women. Witnesses gave a description, but the person had left the scene.

Shortly afterward, someone reported a similar incident near the PATH train station, police said.

Around 9 a.m., police arrested Justin Tyler, 45, of Hoboken on the 800 block of Hudson Street.

Besides being charged with criminal sexual contact, he had an open warrant from Newark, police said, and had a fugitive from justice warrant from New York City.

Hoboken public safety spokesperson Marci Rubin said Tyler was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
