The warrants stemmed from an investigation led by Detective Tyler Soto, following multiple reports of package thefts in Hoboken, Rubin said.
The reported thefts included "six to seven" packages stolen from the mail room of a condominium building on the 1300 block of Grand Street on April 29, 2023, she said.

"The Hoboken Police Department would like to thank those who reported the initial thefts and those who helped by calling in tips," said police.
The Hoboken Police Department asked residents to call (201) 420-2100 whenever they see a crime being committed or suspicious activity occurring.
They offered tips to help limit package thefts in a building:
• Do not let anyone into the building if you do not know them and are not expecting a
delivery.
• If you have an intercom system, confirm who it is before buzzing them in.
• Ask your management company to provide a secure package area or a parcel locker.
• Drop neighbor’s packages at their apartment door versus leaving them out front or in the
visible lobby area.
• Track packages so you know when they will arrive and schedule delivery for when you
are home if possible.
• Never engage with or chase a package thief caught in action.
