Man Charged With Murder In Stabbing Of West New York Woman, 24: Prosecutor
A man has been charged in a Hudson County woman's death, which prosecutors are investigating as "an act of domestic violence."

WEST NEW YORK, NJ — A 40-year-old West New York man has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of a woman, 24, in that town early Tuesday morning, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said. "This matter is being investigated as an act of domestic violence," the office said.
Prosecutors identified the victim as Daniela Garcia-Murillo, 24, of West New York.
The death was the third homicide of a woman in Hudson County in three weeks.

Jimmy Elvira-Quintero, of West New York, is charged with first-degree murder, as well as possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (knife), and unlawful possession of a weapon (knife).

Elvira-Quintero is in custody at Hackensack University Medical Center and will be transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility when medically cleared, the prosecutor's office said.
They said that At approximately 5:54 a.m., the West New York Police Department was notified of an injured person at 4914 Murphy Place. Officers found Garcia-Murillo with apparent stab wound(s) to her abdomen.
She was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:31 a.m.
