Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Woman At Motel In Hudson County
A 22-year-old man was charged with sexually assaulting a woman he met through acquaintances, Hudson County prosecutors say.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 22-year-old West New York man was charged with the sexual assault of a woman earlier this month at a North Bergen motel, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors arrested Emil Figueroa-Blanco this week and charged him with first degree aggravated sexual assault.
Prosecutors say that the crime occurred on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at a motel on Tonnele Avenue. The 22-year-old victim met the defendant through acquaintances in the hours leading up to the assault, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that Figueroa-Blanco was arrested at the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where he was being detained on an unrelated matter. He remains in custody pending a detention motion.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit with the investigation and arrest, with
assistance from the North Bergen Police Department.
