Hoboken Man Entered Closed Business, Held Person Against His Will: Police
A Hoboken man was charged with terroristic threats after he "held a victim against his will while threatening him with objects" police said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A man from Hoboken was arrested Friday after, according to police, he entered a closed business downtown and "held a victim against his will while threatening him with objects such as a stapler and electrical cord."
Ryan Higgins, 30, of Hoboken was charged with robbery, making terroristic threats, burglary, weapons possession, and criminal mischief.
The arrest came after an investigation of an incident that took place back in November, police said.

Police said that on Nov. 3, 2022, around 3 a.m., Higgins entered a business on Washington Street, between Newark and First streets. At that time, the business was closed to the public, police said.
It was then that Higgins held the victim, police said. They said the incident lasted approximately 20 minutes.

Police said, "Higgins appeared to be intoxicated during the incident. The victim was assaulted (choked) by Mr. Higgins. However, he did not suffer injuries."
Police arrested Higgins Friday around 2:45 a.m., processed him, and brought him to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, they said.
