Authorities are searching for a New Jersey man who has been in and out of prison since he was 16 years old - and he's now wanted for murder.
DeAndre Thomas, 23, has been charged with the Nov. 15 death of a 23-year-old man in a shooting at a deli, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
The Jersey City man allegedly shot Davonte Carswell inside Los Yoleros Mini Market Deli, according to the HCPO.

The HCPO says Thomas was charged on Dec. 3 and his bail was set at $1 million cash only. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. The 23-year-old had been was released from prison on April 30 after serving 18 months on aggravated assault charges.
The Jersey Journal reported that a tense and emotional scene played out in the neighborhood on the day of Carswell's murder, and more than 100 people flooding the streets. A local resident told The Jersey Journal that, according to a store employee, Carswell was shot while he stood at an ATM.

Thomas has been in trouble for at several years, court records show. In 2008, Thomas was charged as an adult on aggravated assault charges and was in prison from 2009 to 2012, according to state Department of Corrections records.
Thomas was out of prison for less than a month when he was charged with with shooting a man five times. A second man was also shot, and another man was robbed in May 2012.
During the murder investigation, authorities arrested workers at the business for tampering with evidence inside the building. Police also said the bodega had been operating an alleged gambling operation, according to the report.
Gabino Tineo, 44, Isabel Dominguez, 37, and Marcelino Ramos Jr., 32, were also charged with moving the suspect's body after he was shot, according to authorities.
