Twins, 3 years old
Enjoyed the program for the flexibility of having someone living with them and available for any day that they need.
The Burrell’s au pair, Alexandra, is from Belgium. As part of the Cultural Care Au Pair intercultural exchange and childcare program, Alexandra provides childcare for up to 45 hours per week, 10 hours a day. In exchange, Alexandra receives room, board and the opportunity to take classes at a local university and live with a family for one year, experiencing American culture first-hand. “As working parents with young twins , the Burrell’s need affordable childcare that can work around their ever-changing schedules,” said Carolina Reese, local childcare consultant for Cultural Care Au Pair.
“After researching the options, the Burrell's found few childcare options flexible and affordable enough to keep up with their twins. For them, hosting an au pair is a perfect solution.”
The Burrell’s are not the only ones to discover the benefits of hosting an au pair. The Bouton Family of Jersey City, rely on Marcela an au pair from Brazil to help care for their twin boys. “I don’t know what we would do without Marcela said The Bouton Family.
“With twin boys, age 2, we certainly have our hands full. By feeding Tyler while I play with Eric, Marcela provides the extra set of hands we need to care for our children and give them the one-on-one attention they deserve.”
