Musicians Return To NJ Transit Stations: Hoboken, Secaucus, Union, Rahway, NY

A community-based initiative allows local musicians to perform in NJ Transit station facilities.

The music is back, NJ Transit riders.

NJ Transit announced on Wednesday that due to popular demand, the agency’s “Music in Motion” concert series will return on Thursday.

“Music in Motion is a community-based initiative that allows local musicians to perform in NJ Transit station facilities,” an agency news release stated. “These performing artists are offering their talents while customers get a glimpse of the region’s up-and-coming talent as they traverse major stations and terminals.”

Performances will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, beginning on Thursday, March 17, in the following locations:

  • Hoboken Terminal Waiting Room
  • Secaucus Junction Rotunda
  • Penn Station New York 7th Avenue Concourse
  • Union Station
  • Rahway Station Summer Stage

Featured performers this spring-summer will include: Daniel Burke, Karen Hardy, Chelsea Carlson, Sal Aversano, Old’s Cool, John Arthur, Rachel Menconi, Rich Casella, PrizeViolet,The Foxfires, The NY Troubadours as well as NJ Transit’s own Mustamirr Hagler and Garrad Perry.
