HOBOKEN, NJ — A new house of worship in Hoboken is readying for a launch this autumn: Mile Square Church.

Over the course of the past six months, the fledgling church has been hosting monthly "preview services" to share with local community members what a Sunday morning at Mile Square Church is like.

However, according to a news release, Sunday morning services aren't the only thing that the congregations focuses on. Several times a month, they host and organize casual public gatherings at local pubs and restaurants with attention to building relationships and community. Another endeavor is a community conversation called “Real Talk,” which has included topics such as “the legalization of marijuana, transgenderism and gun rights,” while maintaining a respectful and peaceful environment.
