"To every customer, every regular who became family, every conversation over coffee, every celebration shared at our tables...Thank You!" they wrote. "You built this place with us!La Casa was good food, Culture and connection..Now we flip the script! With papaya closed after the fire, the street needs its late night bite back! We're reimagining, renovating and coming back raw!"

The "fire" refers to a fire in an apartment building across the street in 2017. Residents were displaced, and the Papaya Dog on the ground floor closed.
La Casa added to their note: "Quick and grab! Street-built! Real prices!Affordable pricing! Open late! Hot dogs snapping. Burgers stacked. Cheesesteaks dripping. Sliders sliding. Smoothie blending. Empanadas still hitting. Papa Rellenas still holding it down! Late nights. Early mornings. Weekends without a clock!"
When Will It Open?

They said they don't have an opening date, but "When the lights come back on...It's back!!! Stay hungry!!!"
