UPDATE: PATH Train Service Resumes After Person Hit On Tracks In Hoboken, Officials Say
PATH service from Hoboken to NYC resumed after a person was hit on the tracks and taken to the hospital, the Port Authority said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — PATH train service between Hoboken and New York City resumed at 10:55 a.m. after a person was hit by the train in Hoboken station Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said.
Spokesperson Rudy King said that the person jumped onto Track 3 in Hoboken around 8:51 a.m. The train "was pulled into the station" to allow workers to remove him from under the train, King said. The person was taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment soon after.
King did not have an update on the person's status and could not say whether the train was slowing down to enter the station. But the person was still alive when brought to the ambulance, he said.

PATH trains were suspended from Hoboken to New York City on Thursday morning when a person landed on the tracks in the Hoboken station in front of onlookers, witnesses said.
The person landed in front of a train that was scheduled to head to the World Trade Center.
The agency said trains were suspended because of a "trespasser."

One witness posted photos and said the person was taken away in an ambulance.
"Scariest thing I've witnessed," Tweeted another.
A New Jersey Transit spokesperson said that NJ Transit service is unaffected, as those trains run on a different line than the PATH Trains.
The Port Authority said at 10:20 a.m. that the police investigation was continuing and they did not have a timeline yet for when service will resume. They said service between Journal Square/Jersey City PATH stations and 33rd Street is running on a delay, and the NY Waterway ferries are cross honoring tickets in Hoboken.
As of 10:20 a.m. they would not confirm the status of the person who was on the tracks.
