After the numbers were crunched, the top town was New York City (surprise!) But six cities and towns in New Jersey made the top 250 as well.

Jersey City pizzerias averaged a 4.46 rating on Google, putting that town at spot 122 on the list.

Newark came in at number 58. Elizabeth was 68, Camden was 175, Clifton was 212, and Paterson was 240.

(Sorry, Hoboken, you're not on this particular list, but everyone knows you're rich with delicious pizzerias in one square mile — such as the famous Benny Tudino's, which is holding a pizza challenge.)

Jersey City has been named a top foodie town by Food & Wine Magazine. Several of its area pizzerias, such as Razza, have earned acclaim in nationwide publications.
