One Of Top 11 Foodie Towns In U.S. Is Jersey City, National Magazine Says

Food & Wine magazine cited 10 restaurants in particular when they named Jersey City one of the country's 11 "next great food cities."

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Food and Wine Magazine recently named Jersey City one of the country's 11 "next great food cities," which may be no surprise to anyone who's seen the rash of eateries coming soon to the state's second most populous city, or who've eaten at some of the existing favorites.

Some of Food and Wine's choices are eclectic: Boise, Idaho, and Omaha, Nebraska. But from the descriptions, each one has a diverse food scene.

In the extensive story, Food and Wine writes, "Packed with vibrant food businesses, Jersey City isn't just a spot to drink in the breathtaking view of the skyline across the river—though it certainly is that, too—it's a food city where culture and community keep diners coming back."
