HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Hudson County knows pizza, from the hotly anticipated restaurants like Madison Pizza Lab in Hoboken to the family-owned joints like Carmine's in Jersey city.

But ItalianFood.net's recently published list of the 50 Top Pizza Places in the United States cites one in particular: Razza Pizza Artigianale in Jersey City, which recently moved next door and expanded.

ItalianFood.net's list mostly contained big-city pizzerias, like in New York, Miami, and Chicago.

What's Special About Razza?

Razza, run by chef and author Dan Richer, has already claimed other accolades, including a New York Times story saying that the best pizza in the New York area may be in New Jersey.

The eatery specializes in a limited menu of breads and thin-crust specialty pizzas such as Jersey Margherita (with fresh Jersey Girl mozzarella from South Jersey) and the Zucchine pie. It's located in a business district near the Grove Street PATH station, full of interesting restaurants and shops.
