UPDATED: Latest Details On Ragamuffin Halloween Parade, Other Hoboken Events Monday

HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken becomes a crowded and buoyant place each Halloween.

This year, one business, Hoboken Locksmith, has posted a sign (see below) saying they'll have a little haunted house inside on Halloween. Various blocks and businesses have decorated to the hilt and expect to give out candy after the parade ends.

Ragamuffin Parade Details And Performers

The city has announced the time of its traditional Ragamuffin Halloween parade, and added some details about the performers and costume contest. This year, the in-person costume contest returns for the first time since the pandemic.

The lineup for the parade begins at 3:15 p.m. at Washington Street and 13th Street. The parade will start at 4 p.m. down Washington Street, from 13th Street to Fifth Street. The parade will turn east at Fifth Street, ending at the Hoboken Little League Field, 5th Street and River Terrace.

At that point, the costume contest will start at the Little League Field, Fifth Street and River Terrace.

The city will award prizes to the best family costume and in four age groups — participants 2 years old and younger, 3 to 5-year-olds, 6 to 8-year-olds, and 9 to 12-year-olds.

Special guests for this year's parade include Funny Factory Clown Band, Ron Albanese
AKA Polka Dot, Elvis "The King," and the Rockin' Hoboken High School Redwings Marching Band.
