Redwings Varsity Baseball Falls to St. Peter's Prep
Prep overpowers the Redwings on way to 11-4 win.
The Hoboken High varsity baseball team fell to St. Peter's Prep 11-4 on Wednesday afternoon.
St. Peter's (10-5) struck first, scoring four unearned runs in the first inning. Redwings' starting pitcher Sal Pagan nearly escaped the inning, but an error kept it alive. St. Peter's scored on a single and two triples.
In the win, St. Peter's had five doubles and two triples. Jeremy Selecky scored on an inside-the-park home-run. Leadoff hitter Sean Cole was 2-4 with three RBI.

For Hoboken, Justin Arocho was 2-3, including a solo home-run. Andres Flores was 1-2, and Luis Morales was 1-3 with an RBI. Pagan notched an RBI in the first despite grounding into a double-play.
The Redwings are next home on Thursday, May 6, against Union City High School.
